Day 0: Mindset reset (1 hour)

Losing a role is a shock. Before tactics, do two quick things:

  • Decode the story: What problem did you solve in your last role? What proof do you have (numbers, outcomes, awards)?
  • Define the target: Title + domain + 3 problem areas you love solving (e.g., “Customer Success Manager | B2B SaaS | churn ↓, onboarding ↑, upsell playbooks”).

Day 1: CV sprint — outcomes over duties

Your CV’s top third does 90% of the work. In 45–60 minutes:

  1. Headline line: Target Role + niche + 1–2 outcomes (e.g., “Ops Lead | E-commerce | Cut fulfilment cost 22%”).
  2. 3 impact bullets: Each = verb + metric + result + scope. Example: “Reduced churn 18% in 6 months by designing NPS-driven save plays across 3 segments.”
  3. ATS hygiene: Standard headings, consistent dates (MM/YYYY), no tables for core content.

Day 2: LinkedIn signal boost

Recruiters search by title, skills, and outcomes. Optimise what they actually see:

  • Headline: Role | Specialty | Outcome (keep under ~70 chars).
  • About: 4 lines: problems you solve, a proof line, your stack, and a friendly call to connect.
  • Experience: Re-frame duties into 3–5 impact bullets with numbers.
  • Skills: Mirror 10–15 skills from target job ads.
  • Open to Work: Set location, titles, contract types correctly.

Day 3–4: Build a warm pipeline (scripts inside)

Two tracks: target companies & relationship bridges.

Target list (20 companies)

  1. Collect 20 roles/companies that match your story.
  2. Find 1 hiring manager + 1 peer per company.
  3. Log them in a simple sheet (name, role, URL, status).

Connection script (100–200 chars)

Hi <Name> — I work on <problem you solve> in <niche>. Loved your post on <topic>. Would be great to connect.

Warm message (after they accept)

Thanks <Name> — quick one: I’m exploring <role> roles in <domain> where <problem> is a focus.
If helpful, here’s a 3-bullet snapshot of impact:
• <metric/result>
• <metric/result>
• <metric/result>

Day 5: Apply smarter, not wider

  • Tailor the top third: title, 3 bullets, and skills block to match the ad. Keep the rest stable.
  • Mirror language: Use phrasing from the job ad for key skills (without stuffing).
  • Referrals: Apply + message your contact with your 3-bullet impact snapshot.

Day 6: Interview-ready in 90 minutes

  1. Story bank (30 min): 6 short STAR stories: growth, turnaround, conflict, failure, decision, leadership.
  2. Role calibration (30 min): Read the JD, underline 6 keywords; map one story to each.
  3. 12 lightning questions (30 min): Practice out loud; time answers to ~90 seconds.

Day 7 and Week 2: Cadence & compounding

  • Daily: 10 targeted connection requests + 2 follow-ups.
  • Twice weekly: Post a short tip and a story with a lesson; end with a question.
  • Weekly: 6–10 tailored applications.
